REVIEWS OF OUR BOOKS

The founders of Decision Time Tools, Inc. have both published books. Here is a review of each book.

How to Be Happy, Healthy, Wealthy and Wise: The Guide to Taking Control of Your Life
Kent R. McArthur

If you were going to buy one book that can turn your life around, I would recommend this one. Many self-help books deal with specific areas of life fulfillment, but "How to Be Happy, Healthy, Wealthy and Wise" is a veritable one-stop shop. He touches all the bases from physical to mental to spiritual well-being and then some. Once you put this book down, you will have a lasting blueprint for success and happiness.

Mr. McArthur, in very down-to-earth, practical terms, shows us how to conquer the demons of self-doubt, procrastination and the other usual suspects that generally hold us back from reaching our full potential. He also shows us how to understand who we really are and even provides a valuable computerized self-assessment tool along with the book that will give us instant feedback on our own personality. He asserts that each of us has a life purpose or passion that must be identified and acted upon to turn your life around. I really didn't understand this critical missing element for me, but now I get it.

This book is for everyone from harried executives to multi-tasked moms. However, if your life is in balance, if you have meaningful goals that support your own individuality, if you have no fears and have a plan to know exactly where you are going in life, this book is probably not for you. If you are like most of us, however, the tips and strategies you get here will last you a lifetime. McArthur tells us we must start treating ourselves better. I would recommend you begin that process by purchasing this book. You, too, can finally be happy, healthy, wealthy and wise. You just have to know what to do.

Becoming Immortal: Nanotechnology, You, and the Demise of Death
Wesley M. Du Charme, Ph.D.

“The title says it all about the possibility of a physical immortality. Nanotechnology is a developing technology where machines can operate at the level of a billionth of a meter. Cryonics is the discipline where the body is frozen and stored. Combine the two and we have the possibility, at some time in the future, of repairing a dying body. Du Charme takes us slowly, steadily through the objections, the disbeliefs, the inertia and religious scruples. “You have a chance to become physically immortal – and there are things you can do to make that chance a reasonably good one.” Arguments against are logically dealt with. Getting from here to there: “Given the current lack of popularity of cryonics and the current lack of knowledge about the potential of nanotechnology, undoubtedly billions are yet doomed to die.” This is definitely not a rah-rah book, but a survey that exhibits for us carefully framed probabilities. Nothing is certain, futures least of all. But “the world of the future will be filled with many wonders, and challenges broad enough and deep enough to match the soaring spirit of an immortal population.” Throughout the book are crucially placed quotes, some humorous, some deadly serious. From a bumper sticker: “Life is uncertain; eat dessert first.” George S. Patton: “Take calculated risks.” Charles-Kettering: “My interest is in the future because I am going to spend the rest of my life there.” A lucid exposition of the chances, the dangers, the probabilities.”
