TOP TEN REASONS NOT TO USE THE LEISURE TIME TOOL

1. It will be a waste of my time.
Well, maybe. But we think finding a new and enjoyable leisure activity has the potential to significantly improve the quality of your life. So, we give you several ways to search our database, which contains over 1200 leisure activities in 12 different categories. Although nothing is for certain in an uncertain world, we're confident you will be pleased with your results.
2. There’s no such thing as a free lunch.
Maybe not, but there is “free” time, right? And the Leisure Time ToolTM will help you discover enjoyable ways to structure that time. Don’t worry about us. We’ll make it up on volume!
3. This is just a scam to get my email address so tons of spam can be sent to me.
The beauty of the Leisure Time Tool is that it helps you find activities that are interesting and rewarding. You may receive emails regarding activities that you have identified through the tool as interesting to you. We do not sell, rent, or let anyone else take even a sideways peek at your email address for generic mailings. We collect it for only three reasons. The first reason is so that we can send you an email with your password in case you want to look at your results some time in the future and you can’t remember what password you used. The second reason is so that we can let you know about any additions or improvements that will be of value to you. The third reason is to send you information on activities that the tool has helped you identify as of interest to you. That’s it. Period.
4. This isn’t likely to work. How can anyone else choose a leisure activity for me?
Well, we’re not going to choose it. The Leisure Time ToolTM is going to help you choose it by identifying activities that match your needs. With more that 1200 leisure activities in twelve categories there will be plenty of opportunities for you to find something right up your alley. (Even if you don’t know where the alley is!)
5. I might get started using the Leisure Time ToolTM and then get bogged down, or have to go do something else.
It takes most people only 10 to 15 minutes to go through the Leisure Time ToolTM. If you have to stop, you can always come back at a later time and finish up. Of course if you find a new leisure activity you really like you might spend many years enjoying it. But we wouldn’t call that “bogged down”!
6. Even if I get through it and find an activity, what do I have? Just the name of the activity.
Not true. You’ll have a lot more. Each activity has web links associated with it that will give you more extensive information about the activity and help you explore your newfound interest. The problem isn’t finding information, it’s finding out what will bring you enjoyment. That’s the magic of the Leisure Time ToolTM. Well, maybe not magic, but we promise it is more than sleight of hand!
7. Leisure activities are all well and good, but I’d like to bring in some money.
Have you ever come to the right place! One of our “leisure” categories is actually Part-Time Work. We recognize that many retired people either do earn some money with their free time activities, or would like to. There are hundreds of activities in our Part-Time Work category. One of them will likely be a source of money and satisfaction for you.
8. This site can’t possibly contain all the different leisure activities that are available.
True enough, but it contains more than any other source we are aware of including web sites, books, and brains (ours, anyway). Humans are a very inventive species and we are constantly adding new activities to our database. But, you’ll just have to settle for over 1200 possible activities right now.
9. I’ve got a pretty heavy TV watching commitment. I’m not sure I can squeeze in anything else.
We are shocked and dismayed. Nothing wrong with TV, but remember variety is the spice of life. You don’t want all pepper, all the time, do you?
10. I’m all booked up. I have a variety of things to keep me busy and I don’t need another leisure time activity.
